SIAHA DC PROCURED Rs.47 Lacs FROM BPCL’s CSR FOR ANGANWADI CENTRES AT SIAHA DISTRICT

Siaha;March ni 3: Shri.Bhupesh Chaudhary IAS, Deputy Commissioner of Siaha District distributed Rs. 47 lacs worth Materials Sets , each set consisting of 6 items :-
1) Table
2) White Board
3) 7 nos of Chairs
4) Water Filter
5) Book Shelf
6) 2000Litre Water Tank to all the 126 ANGANWADI CENTRE of Siaha district, here at Siaha, today.

Materials Distribution programme was held at DRDA’s Conference Hall and presided over by Shri. H. Zonunmawia, Election officer,Siaha.
Speaking at the occassion, Shri.Bhupesh Chaudhary informed the gathering public that he was “deeply pained by seeing the pathetic condition of our Anganwadi Centres”, which lacked even safe drinking water , leave alone furniture and learning materials. So he approached Bharat Petroleum Corpoaration Limited (BPCL) and apprised them of the disquieting condition of our Anganwadi centres, and begged them for their CSR fund. BPCL obliged to his fervent request and again doled out Rs.47lacs for the improvement of our 126 Anganwadi Centres. BPCL had earlier too sanctioned Rs.37 lacs to Siaha District for Solid waste Management.

Shri.Bhupesh reminded the gathering public that “ANGANWADI CENTRE is not only the place where our pre-school kids could do basic learning and avail of good nitrients as well, but also is a place where a pragnant mother and a lactating mother could avail of Good nutrients too. He also zealously solicited NGOs, VC and general Public to be more aware of and vigilance towards our Anganwadi Centres. “Anganwadi promotes Healthy Pregnant Mom,Lactating mom and Pre school kids which eventualy promotes Healthy Society” he added.

Shri. Bhupesh profusely thanked his Subordinate officers and concern Dept. officials who had worked rigorously for the last 8 months with him for the success of this project. Today’s programme was well attended by Head of Office,NGOs’ leaders, Media persons,VC members and Anganwadi Centre workers.
