- Selected 165nos of beneficiaries under New Land Use Policy covering Six Villages. All assistance needed has been completed. Follow up activities of Silkworm rearing and othersactivities are in progress and seeing success.
- The Eri Sericulture Development scheme with 5 nos of beneficiaries at Thingsen had been completed up to food Plantation and other components. Rearing and production of SilkCocoons will commence by next year and hope to be successful.
- Coming-up this year 30nos of new Farmers at Theiri Village to take-up Ericulture.The farmers are supplied Castor seed for plantation. Monitoring and Supervision activities are in full swing. The activities as such rearing, cocoons productions will follow very soon. It is seeing success.
- The Department also has Govt. Mulberry seed Farm at MeisatlaSiaha. Technicalstaff are busy in conducting rearings so as to produce quality seed cocoons. The seed cocoons so produced are sending to Zemabawk Aizawl for further production of diseased free laying for the farmers.
- Submitted detail Project report for development ofEri silk development Project forSiaha District, under North Eastern Region Textile promotion scheme for the year 2019 – 2021. This Mega project submitted to the Ministry of Textile, Govt. of India is expecting for approval very soonand hope to be successful.
- Submitted another Detail Project Report for the Development of Ericulture for Siaha District to the Deputy Commissioner/DPCSiaha.The scheme is under SEDP which will cover 94nos of beneficiaries with total cost of 100Lakh. The scheme when approved and implement will ensure overall development especially Women and enables to play a significant role in the Family and Society.
