Awarness And Introduction Of One Stop Centre Programme For Anganwadi Workers Held At Siaha

Siaha, the 25th February,2020 :

A programme for Angawadi Workers on the Awareness and Introduction of One Stop Centre was held at DCPU’s Conference Hall, in the afternoon of today, here at Siaha.

Smt. Imelda C. Zomuanzuali, Centre Administrator,OSC, Siaha presided over the programme, and expounded at length the purposes and functions of OSC. She said that One Stop Centre was a temporary shelter for woman who sufferred any form of harassments or atrocities at the hand of anybody, but didn’t have anyone to approach for her immediate relief or safety from her sufferings.
Once a victim woman approached OSC, all helps in regard to filing of an FIR, recording DIR, medical first Aids,legal counselling etc will be rendered to her by workers at OSC. Moreover she added ” a boy child of below 8 yrs old and daughter( no age limit for daughter) can stay with their mother at OSC for 5 nigths and 5 days.”

Smt. Elizabeth Zodinpuii, Counsellor, OSC delivered lectures on Objectives and services provided by OSC, and Smt. Judith, Superintendent, Swadhar Greh Home also delivered lectures on Introduction of Swadhar Greh

Smt. Ngopapaw, Legal Councellor, also delivered on Violence against women Act and Smt. F. Lalthlamuanpuii, Case Worker, OSC gave training on the subject of Target group and Roles of AWWs as well.

At the fag end of the today’s programme Answer & guestion session was also conducted and wherein all the queries raised by the AWWs were answered comprehensively by OSC’s workers.
