Hon’ble MoS Dr.K.Beichhua Launches Digital Education Programme For Gov’t Schools Of Siaha District

Siaha; the 4th February,2020:
An initiative of DC office,Siaha under the educational programme called Kawng kawhhmuhtu(Mentorship Programme) was launched in the form of Smart Classrooms and Edufix Mobile Apps at MYA Multipurpose Hall, here at Siaha , Today.

Social Welfare Minister Dr K. Beichhua inaugurated 2 smart classrooms at Gov’t Higher Secondary School,Siaha as a mark of other 10 smart classrooms, 2 each at 5 Gov’t Schools of Siaha district being inaugurated as well.

These smart classrooms are the first of its kinds in the whole North Eastern Region of India.

Seeing the pathetic condition of prevailing education system in Siaha district. The incumbent DC Shri.Bhupesh Chaudhary IAS and his subordinate officers found an educational project Kawng kawhmutu and they had opined that providing Books and Library facilities alongwith implimentation of Digital Education programme is best suited for their first step measures towards improving learning outcomes in Gov’t Schools within Siaha district. DC Siaha approached GAIL and appraised of the prevailing condition of Govt schools of Siaha and requested GAIL of its CSR Fund. Eventhough Siaha district didn’t fall under their area of Operation, GAIL with its benovelent self relented and doled out a fairly large sum of Rupees 20 lakhs for 12 Smart classrooms to Siaha District inpartner with Extramarks Foundation.

The Chief Guest of today’s Programme, Hon’ble Social welfare Minister Dr.K.Beichhua, in his launching speeches profusely thanked GAIL and Extramarks Foundation for their philanthropic works towards Siaha district, in spite of Siaha district being fell outside their area of operation. Minister also gracefully acknowledged the excellent works done by DC and his team, and said “but for our DC’s missionary zeals and pursuasive skills, this things couldn’t have happened, Siaha will ever grateful to his dynamic and pragmatic DC” he added.
Minister Dr.K.Beichhua also passionately reiterated that we migth not be able compete with our brothers & Sisters in other parts of India in riches, living standard, physical stature,etc.But Education is one of the field wherein we can definitely competed and came out as a winner too, if our students were provided with quality education and exposed to the rigth kind educational ambience.

Expressing his high expectation, Minister said “Siaha district is in the threshold of quality Education, i had laid a foundation stone of EMRS at Noaotlah Village yesterday and one located at Tipa town is also in near completion, EMRS and Kawng kawhhmutu initiatives, i hope, will not only improve our pass percentage in HSLC and HSSLC examination, which is plummetting year after year, but also produce topper from this district”. With this kind of initiatives, he said ” i visioned lots of students of Siaha district cracking National and State level competitive exams in near future.”

Representatives of GAIL and Extramarks Foundation were also delivered speeches and thanked Minister, officials and education community for their warm reception. They also expressed their happiness over witnessing the enthusiasm and hope generated by their humble deeds. Expressing their sincerely hope “with Smart classrooms, Edufix Apps and many others initiatives under Kawng kawhhmutu Project, there bound to be Positive upheavals in Educational system and education scenario will no longer be the same.” and therefore they wished Siaha district “the very best in new challanges and new approaches it embarked upon,” and “its fruitful result”. They were looking forward to “working in tandem and working together” in the days to come.

An edufix mobile Apps a joint ventures of Lawngtlai DC and Siaha DC was also launched today by Hon’ble Minister.By this Mobile Apps, every student can easily downloaded all the recorded lectures on various subjects, this Apps facilitated students to attend virtually classes wherever and whenever they wanted to.
