SIAHA DC LAUNCHES VDVK LEVEL ADVOCACY PROGRAMME ON PRADHAN MANTRI VANDHAN YOJANA (PMVDY) AT SOME VILLAGES UNDER TIPA RD BLOCK

Siaha; the 14th October,2020:
Shri. Kesavan R, IAS, Deputy Commissioner, Siaha district , today launched VDVK Level Advocacy programme on Pradhan Mantri Vandhan Yojana(PMVDY) at
Zyhno, Khopai leh Laki villages which were under Tipa RD Block. PMVDY is an initiative of TRIFED and Ministry of Tribal Affairs, Gov’t of India and Today’s launching programme was organized by DRDA office, Siaha.
In his launching speech, Shri.Kesavan R,IAS explained the meaning of Vandhan to the gathering farmers and expounded that Van mean Forest and Dhan mean Riches, and therefore Vandhan literally mean Riches of Forest, and said “through this project Gov’t tries to increse your income by tapping forest resources, if you really workhard and executed this scheme as per envisaged by govt, your livelihood and living standard will surely improve.”
He urged the gathering farmers to give their hearts and souls to this scheme and change the economy landscape of their village for good and all.

Shri.Kesavan had a lively and fruitful interaction with farmers of all the villages he had visited today.

Under this PMVDY scheme, cultivation of cash crop such as Broom,Chilli,Ginger and Turmeric are taken up in a big way by Zyhno, Ahmypi, Khopai and Laki villages under the constant vigil and in consultation with concern dept.

DC also visited Chilli processing cum packaging Unit located at Zyhno Villages.
