One Day Awareness Programme On Drug Demand Reduction For High School Students Organized At Diet, Siaha

Siaha;the 15th October,2019:
National Institute of Social Defence Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment under the National Action Plan in Drug Demand Reduction(NAPDDR) in collaboration with DIET, Siaha organized a One Day Awareness Programme on Drug demand reduction for selected 30 students of Class-IX from Gov’t High School,Siaha.
A brief inaugural function was presided over by Shri. Vanzama Lecturer DIET Siaha.
Shri.H Lalfakzuala Principal DIET was also in attendance of the training and speaking at the occasion, he stated that making the students aware of the menace of Drug abuses and its devastating effects, encouraging them to say No To DRUG and pursuading them to pass on this message to their peer groups and fellow students was the motives behind organizing this training. He also reminded and encouraged the trainees that, they must not only abstained from this deadly substance but also be the staunch combatants to this pervasive substances. Be a student that made his friends said ‘No to Drug’, he quipped. He further implored the students to extend their helping hands to their friends and family members who were already in trouble; in whatever way possible they could for their complete recovery.
Today’s Training was imparted by the Faculty of DIET, Siaha.
