The 10th National Voters’Day – 2020 Celebrates at Siaha

Siaha; the 25th January, 2020: District Election office, Siaha organized the 10th National Voters’ Day-2020 celebration at DC’s Conference Hall with a theme: Electoral Literacy for stronger Democracy, here at Siaha.

Shri. H. Zonunmawia, Election Officer presided over the programme and Shri. Bhupesh Chaudhary IAS, DEO& DC attended the programme as Chief Guest.

Delivering a speech, Chief Guest said that every citizen of India has constitutional duty to make India a Vibrant Democracy by casting his or her precious vote in all the Election. By casting our precious vote, we made ourselves not only participated but a say as well. He congratulated new voters for being able to exercise their franchise and cautioned them; not to let themselves influenced by Caste, Creed, religion and any inducements while exercising their franchise. “EPIC is one of the most important document for proving your Identity, therefore keep it safe all the time” he added.

Shri. Malsawmtluanga, Addl DC & ERO administered a Pledge of upholding Democracy tradition and norms to the gathering public.
As a part of 10th National Voters’ Day -2020, celebration, Best performing BLOs were selected and awarded Certificate & incentive cash prize. 1st Prize winner was awarded Certificate + Rs.10,000/- and 2nd Prize consisted of Certificate+ Rs.7000 while the 3rd Prize Award consisted of Certificate+Rs.5000/-
