YET ANOTHER FEAT IN CSR BY DC OFFICE, SIAHA

Siaha; the 18th December, 2109:
Pu Bhupesh Chaudhary,IAS Deputy Commissioner of Siaha District flagged off and handed over Two (2) brand new Vehicles for Solid Waste management to MADC LAD department, in the forenoon of Today, here at Siaha.
DC Office, Siaha successfully has secured the project amounting to ₹37 lacs from BPCL( Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited) under the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative. As per the MoU signed between DC Siaha and BPCL Mumbai, BPCL shall provide two(2) vehicles modified for collection of garbage and waste. BPCL shall also provide 1 Bio-dig ester amounting to ₹19 lacs to convert the wet organic waste into organic compost. The compost shall be distributed to the farmers within Siaha district through Horticulture Department. The Deputy Commissioner Siaha, Pu Bhupesh Chaudhary, IAS reported that “this is the first of its kind project in the whole Mizoram.”
Speaking at the launching program, Pu Bhupesh Chaudhary zealously stressed the importance of proper waste management and said that Solid Waste Management is not an isolated problem but an interconnected and interlinked problem with Health, Sanitation and Mental development. The success mantra for the fruitful implementation of this project lies in the concerted efforts of all Departments, NGOs and Political parties. “Let’s join hands and work towards the development of the district,” he added. He also passionately urged all the people present to take the issue more seriously and make a concerted effort towards waste management for the betterment of our future generations. “The goal should be the big 3 R’s– Reduce, Re-use and Recycle.” he quipped.
Shri. N.Zakhai, CEM MADC also delivered a speech and profusely thanked Deputy Commissioner and his subordinate officers for securing CSR fund once again for Siaha District. He said that Siaha district is very lucky to have a dynamic and efficient DC, who knows the knack and nuance for securing CSR Fund. Today’s brief flagging-off programme was benignly witnessed by MADC honchos, GoM officials, MJA members and special invitees.
